One Day Design owner, Alyson O’Brien, is originally from Boston and has spent the last decade working in various aspects of the interior design industry. 

Alyson studied art and design at Providence College followed by courses in decorative arts and interior design at New England School of Art and Design in Boston. She holds a certificate in interior redesign and home staging from IRIS (Interior Redesign and Staging Industry Specialists).  She gained extensive interior design experience while managing several showrooms at the Boston Design Center  where she enhanced her design skills while being exposed to cutting-edge styles and trends. 

Since her move to Ireland in 2007, Alyson has worked with homeowners, Auctioneers and Property Managers in the Cork area who wouldn't normally consider working with an interior designer - mainly because they feel interior design is outside their budget.  Alyson has helped them bring their belongings together to create their own personal home style and an improved home, without spending a fortune.
